About Jen’s Crochet
“My journey as a hooker began in my younger years...”
Let me not write it like that and get banned from somewhere lol.
In all seriousness, I began crocheting when I was 7 years old. This means I’ve been crocheting for almost 40 years. In recent years, I was blessed with my first two grandchildren, Carson and Parker. My youngest son, Teddy, and my grandkids inspire most of the items I make. Teddy especially enjoys stretching my imagination and is responsible for some of my sillier patterns such as the raccoons.
My favorite type of thing to crochet is the reversible mosaic crochet blankets.
My second favorite is whatever amigurumi item those 3 kiddos have demanded I make (especially if the request starts with Grandma… I want you to make me….). I make bereavement blankets as well for our local hospital which will always hold a special place in my heart.
What else can I say?
I am a member of Eldersburg Hooked on Crochet and the Crochet Guild of America. These are some of my absolute favorite crochet friends to stitch n’ bitch with. If you’re in the Maryland area, feel free to come join us for a meeting.
Our group information and meeting information can be found at:
Eldersburg Hooked on Crochet | Facebook
Eldersburg Hooked on Crochet | Carroll County Public Library
We work avidly to crochet for multiple charities in the area, to volunteer and teach crochet to different groups and individuals, to make items for the local hospital, and during the holidays we make items for the scarf, hat, and mitten tree at our library.
